A Gift For All Seasons

Research shows that children are more likely to succeed in learning when their family members read with them each day. Reading to children, and having children read to us, assists them with the complex nature of language acquisition on all levels.
When my niece and nephew were growing up, I always gave them a book for every occasion. Whether it was a birthday, holiday or any reason to celebrate, you can be sure a book was included as part of the gift. I always bought hard cover books since they last.
Now that Scott and Alison are parents, I continue the tradition by gifting their children with books for all seasons. My hope is that they will pass these wonderful treasures on to the next generation, as books are truly the gifts that keep on giving.
There are children's books on a wide-variety of topics. This holiday season, give the gift of instilling positive character principles like honesty, responsibility, kindness and respect. Give "Don't Be That KID! At School".
