Giving Thanks
Saturday, November 16, 2019
This is the time of year that many people begin to reflect on their lives and, hopefully, stop a moment to give thanks. What am I thankful for?
I'm thankful for having wonderful parents who instilled in me the virtues of honesty, loyalty to others and giving 100% in all I hope to accomplish.
I'm thankful for my family and grateful to be in their lives. We truly love each other.
I'm thankful for my friends. I've been fortunate to have some friends since elementary school! I value their friendship and care about them and their families. We've laughed and we've cried together through the years.
I'm thankful for good health and being engaged in many fulfilling endeavors, such as teaching Mah Jongg, going into schools to conduct Young Author Programs or Behavior Assemblies. And of course the "Don't Be That KID!" Series. It was a fulfillment of a lifelong desire to help parents and teachers teach character education concepts.
Most of all, I'm thankful for my husband, Jimmy. I was only 16 when we met and our love has endured and grown through the years.
I feel truly Blessed!
