The Royals Won't "Be That KID!"
Sunday, May 28, 2017
I was reading the May 15th issue of PEOPLE Magazine and was interested in an article about Princess Charlotte and Prince George. In the article, Princess Kate says "Motherhood can be a real challenge...even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not."
Her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, provide a great deal of assistance with the children. Princess Kate stated "They taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect and honesty. William and I want to teach our children...just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view it is just as important as excelling at math or sports."
It is very exciting for me to read Princess Kate's comments about core values. Both the Don't Be That KID! At School Book and the corresponding Don't Be That KID! At School Resource Guide were written to provide parents and teachers with the tools to instill the values she mentions as well as others, such as responsibility, consideration and self-reflection in their children.
I'm going to send Princess Kate a copy of the book and resource guide. I hope she enjoys using them.
